Tri-Glide power pics
« on: October 16, 2010, 10:56:35 AM »

Just did an "upgrade" to a 2011 Trike yesterday for a member here.

Before: V&H mufflers, SE air cleaner, "Stage 1 download" (whatever THAT is!)
Results: bike pinged when hot, rear cyl cut-off almost all the time. Heat shield over header blistered chrome (covered under warranty) Bike pinged at idle at stop lights! Seemed to run ok, but, not to owner's liking. Other complaints were sloppy throttle, hard starting, overall, not very "rider friendly".

After: Same as "before" except addition of Fullsac X-pipe, TTS Mastertune
Results: no more "pinging", rear cyl does not cut out. Heat reduced from pipes. No more sloppy throttle. Bike pulls like a 2-wheeler (owner's comments). VERY happy customer now.

I downloaded the map I use on my 103 to his trike, and bet it's pretty close to what he expected. MAY do a V-tune in the future depending on his input.
I'll ride with him tomorrow and get a full download of how the bike runs.

nice mufflers........V&H, some kind of "oval" tips, first experience with these, nice sound.

Special thanks to Steve @ Fullsac for his help in getting this trike dialed in.

Hey Mike!

Thanks for posting your results.

Think we could get a pic of you riding the Trike? Maybe poppin a small wheelie with Susie on the back?   :2vrolijk_21:

Steve

You know I would NEVER do this to a friend's bike!!!
On the other hand, it DOES get very light on the front end under power shifts!! LOL
He's got some high dollar mufflers, and I would NOT like to scrape them up!

Besides, Susie would kill me!
