Service Diagram?
« on: April 08, 2006, 08:44:25 PM »

Does anyone have a PDF of the right side Handelbar Controls?  I purchased the "Chrome Swtich" covers, as I thought the black looked out of place ($16.95 for Chrome colored plastic!!)  I'm not much of a do-it-myself kind of guy, but boredom and stupidity got the better of me, and I installed them myself.  Pretty easy except....On the right side a little piece of folded metal fell out of the upper housing.  I didn't see where it came from, and I have no idea where it goes back in.  I haven't purchased the Service Manual yet (going to do it right now!) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what this piece is, and where it goes!!

Thanks!

Not sure what/where this piece goes, but see if your dealer has the parts manual. This may give you a better idea where this part belongs. Most dealers will have parts manual available at parts counter, and you can see where it goes, and they may make a copy of that page for you to take home.

duck_fan_doug,

I believe that little folded piece of metal is the stoplight switch wedge, which should be in the lower housing.

Your correct GRC. That piece of folded metal is the spacer/retainer for the stop light switch.
