I just read about this--maybe I am behind and this is old news, but it is new to me. Thoughts...... :nixweiss:

Very impressive. It will be nice to see how it works.

There's a discussion on HTT about it, with some disagreement between Jamie of FuelMoto and Steve Cole about the actual capabilities:

Looks like the PowerVision isn't available until December.

Not nearly enough real information out there to base sound judgments on.  First impression of the product, however, is that of a yet another tuning tool similar to all the others with the addition of a fancy gee-whiz-look-at-me interface module.  Personally I could care less about fancy and gee-whiz when it comes to tuning.  I just want the bike to run well and efficiently.

This thing will still require a dyno to dial in more than "close."  So for the end user it looks like another tool to waste your weekend with trying to dial in a tune without a load control other than the highway so you're still never really sure where you are.  If you're competent and your butt and hands are well calibrated you achieve "pretty good."  Really hard to get too excited as we've all been there and done that.

It may be interest that later proves to be unfounded but the "next big thing" I've become most interested in is the tuning package from Revolution Performance.  If it becomes all it's cracked up to be there is far more than promise of variations on the same there.  Something to make the bike work well without spending hours and hours of your own time or dollars or dollars of dyno time.  Have spoke with that shop about the product a couple times.  Nothing they said stilled the interest.

If someone really enjoys fiddling and chasing run parameters in an attempt to get the bike "ok" most of the current family of tuning devices out there will get you there.  Fancy gee-whiz displays or not.  I just keep hoping for something that is the next leap smarter and, thereby, easier and more effective.

But it does look easier to set up then looking for my docking station for my older laptop because that is the only one that will talk to my race tuner with the stupid serial port interface :nixweiss:

Dedicated monitor that allows some basic control obviously means don't have to worry about external connections.  From what I read it looks like many/most actual tuning functions still require a PC though.

We need tuning Voodoo.  Some sort of runes to cast over a bike, sense its needs and distill a map through the ether to the ECM.  Standard version would be a one time use while the SE version would be perpetual auto tuning.  Oh yeah, it also needs to cost $29.95/59.95.

Interesting item, something for a novice to really screw their bike up with.

Interesting!
It is always nice to see new options.
Seems like Fuel Moto always gets to play with the new toys first.
Jamie does a good job of putting info out there...here it is...here is what it does... based on his experience working with it.
