Nail on the head Twolanerider!

The only exception for me personally to what you said is, I like the discussing/arguing that takes place.  For me there is plenty to be learned when the "gloves come off" so to speak.
 Kind of the same.
Except if you change exhaust or cams at a later date the EMS will not need another tune on a dyno. $$

Really?? You think various camshafts and exhaust systems all require the same tuneup requirements. While it may be able to adjust for some fuel requirement it will not and cannot adjust AE fuel, DE fuel and all spark conditions. What it can do is adjust the VE table to a wider range of adjustments.

Except as you said the Broad band O2 sensors will let you run richer AFR's than the stock O2 sensors in closed loop.

This is true, no doubt about it, but what are you going to do about the issues from the broad bands themselves? Are you going to pull them out and adjust them as required when they drift. Look there is good and bad that comes with Broad Bands, I just think it's fair if both sides are told not just the one side.

And just so no one is mislead the stock O2 sensors do NOTHING for the Spark side either!

You are correct and when you change an engine build (ie: cam, exhaust, compression ratio ect) the requirements for both fuel and spark need to be adjusted.

The truth is it cannot and does not adjust for everything needed any more than a stock ECM does. It has a target fuel value that may or maynot be right for a different combination and can make no more spark adjustments than a stock ECM. So for those who plan to not change there bike around it's a fine option but it's not the only option nor will it be the last option that comes out.
