HP RATING & RACE TUNER INSTALLATION
« on: February 03, 2011, 07:54:27 AM »

Would somebody post the hp rating for a stock 2011 FLHTCUSE6. I had a race tuner installed at delivery. No mods to bike. For now just going to ride it as it is.The dealer said it was a good thing to install @ delivery, to retune.  I don't know what to expect from having this race tuner installed.  All they gave me was a dyno graph  showing Max Power @83.53 ,&  Max Torque @102.18 . Should I have been given any kind of a  baseline reading & one from when the tuner was installed  What can I expect from having this installed? I would appreciate any input on this subject.  This is a big upgrade from riding my 22 year old FL

For having no mods your max dyno results look reasonably improved over a non-tuned stock 110. Mine was 77/100 straight out of the crate. Most others I've seen were around 80 hp and just below 100 ft lbs. The point of your tuning the stock bike without any mods is not to necessary gain significant power, as the pipes, heads and other components hold the 110 back from its true potential. The benefit of tuning your stock bike should be a smoother flow of power, better throttle responsiveness and a cooler running engine.

You'll need to tell us if the bike runs cooler (you'll need hot weather to make this judgement) and whether or not the throttle responsiveness and roll on of power feels better than it did before the tune.

The lower dyno run is right off the showroom floor, 82HP and 97 TQ. 2011 CVO Ultra with 300 miles on it.
The upper line is after a Stage II kit.

83HP-102TQ sounds right inline with a stock 110. Only a few of them will break 100TQ stock. Good sign of a strong motor. :2vrolijk_21:
Tuning a stock bike could cool things a little. Pretty difficult to get any real
improvement in peak power with the stock exhaust still intact.

I don't want to do anything except maybe change out the baffles. By going to the Fulsac 1.75 baffles would this change the tone  much & give me a little more performance? By doing this do I have to have it remaped? Thanks.

Power cores only will give it a nice smooth rumble that's on the quiet side. Only looking at a 2 HP increase
with the cat still restricting it.

No need to remap for only 2 HP.
