NEW HD Parts & Accessories on HD's website
« on: February 03, 2011, 02:19:55 PM »

HD just introduced some new parts and accessories on their website for the various HD models.  Here's a link to those for touring bikes:

Ha, a Condor chock.  And they didn't even charge extra for putting the Harley logo on there.

Probably not charging for it because they had to put it on there to cover up "Condor". :D :D :D

Would be nice to see a chrome back plate for the SE Heavy Breather.

They got Jorge's black LED headlight and that cool looking new analog speedo/tach combo unit now for Road Kings also.  I like that speedo too.  It's a visually tempting part.

I bought the Condor directly from them with the trailer adapter kit.  $220. total.  HD wants $250 for the chock only.  That is about a $50 markup.  Excellent product though.

I talked to green filters at cinci v-twin show about filters for these because they can do filter colors to match bikes and they are working on it.They make some good filters .I'm a dealer for them .http://www.airfiltersonline.com/index.php

Something not listed in the items shown by following the link but is in the regular parts list as new -

Digital gear indicator!

Somehow I don't feel the need to spend $220 bucks to know what gear I'm in!

does it connects to the ecm somehow? - does that mean that "gear position" is one of the things the ecm knows?

still id try and mount it to the inner fairing somewhere...

hmm

You'll need to wait until March to find out.
That's when they say it will be available.

From the looks of it, it mounts in an auxiliary switch housing so I would believe it could mount just about anywhere the wiring would reach.

In regard to the gear indicator, it looks at vehicle speed, and rpm's, after that, its just math.
