I've been lurking here since I ordered my Black Crimson Slate and have learned tons of stuff. Mine is due to be shipped from York on May 3 and I just sold my old reliable 1990 FLHTC Peace Officer model to a buddy. That was tougher to do than I thought it would be. I had plenty of fun and happy miles on that bike. I would have loved to keep it, but realistically I only have time to ride and maintain one bike and the $$ made a dent in the cost of the new one. And I am excited about my first new bike in 16 years. So, tcnbham, it sounds like our bikes may be rolling down the assembly line in the same vicinity. I have some minimal initial plans, v&h dresser ovals, high flow air filter, SERT. And, I also told the Mrs., "hey, its got everything", but she loved the sound of the '90 so I don't think I'll get much protest on the exhaust mods. This site has been a great resource. Fortunately for me, I've known my dealer since I was a kid and I ordered the bike with no deposit but still have the priviledge of paying MSRP. Daytona HD is buying up all the SEUC they can from other dealers and selling them for $39,995 - someone posted a photo of the price on the rearview mirror. My buddy called me from Daytona last week with that info, but I already saw it on this forum. So, I guess we're lucky?
