Just bought the Rush slip-ons. Are the OEM  heat shields able to be re-used on the Rush pipes? Seems as though its just two bolts to remove the mufflers and the clamps for the shields.

I had Rush slip ons and there was no need for heat shields.

i just installed the rush slip-ons and i did use the heat shields the back clamp is right at the end of the pipes but they work. just don't start it in the basement and crack the throttle not that i did that............. more than once. lol

Skyhi1, thanks for the info. I may put the shields on too. How hard was it to pull off the OEM mufflers?

In the past I have removed the stockers after a few thousand miles and they were a bitch. Should be

easy this time cause the bike has zero miles.

mine had 500 miles and they came off easy you only have to loosen the header heat shields. just a little up and down movement and mine came right off
just dont forget the bottom mount bolts
