Unless you get it in writing from the dealer the only VCI you can use without voiding the warranty is the SEStreet Perfomance Tuner

Only one thing puzzles me about that whole thing...why would they allow adjustment of the A/F ratio and draw a line in the sand about that?  The rest, I can understand from a EPA compliance perspective.

The areas where that thing can adjust AFR's is severely limited Terry.  EPA rules only apply in certain operating modes, so you can still adjust AFR's for high rpm and WOT for instance.  It's the same with the aftermarket devices that offer both a street legal and off road only version, like PowerCommander.

The SESPT is basically a rip-off IMHO, designed to make it easier for H-D to make more money on what used to be the street legal dealer downloads.  The way it was named and promoted makes it real easy to mislead customers.
SEPST versus SESPT, look at it quickly and consider that the average customer doesn't know exactly what either is, and couldn't tell you the difference.  I'll bet they've sold a ton of the SESPT's to unsuspecting souls who thought they had bought the good stuff.

That, of course, makes perfect sense, Jerry.  I wouldn't expect anything less from you      As with so many things in life, the Devil    is in the details.  Most folks...as you say...would have no clue.

I think we can both agree on at least one thing:  Don't trust a FT that the MOCO or a dealer tells you without gaining some outside, expert, advice.
