Opinion?
« on: March 06, 2011, 04:19:15 PM »

How do you think it looks with black heat shield on front cylinder and chrome on rear?  I have both chrome and black to change the overall look when i got bored.  I had the chrome on, and decided to see what the black looked like.  I installed the front cylinder to see if I liked it and left the rear chrome until i was sure...kind of ended up liking them mixed?  Ay thoughts?

It's your ride. What any of us thinks doesn't matter worth squat.

Also, it seems that every time I answer one of these questions it ends up like the classic wife asking the husband " do these jeans make me look fat "

nope, not like asking your wife if the jeans make her look fat!  Kind of lazy, I have to take the front headpipe off to change the rear shield.  Trying to maybe get away with it?  I know it's individual, but still want to know thoughts.  Stock pipes and mufflers were chrome, I wanted to go all black, ordered the mufflers that way, but i thought maybe chrome around the engine, heat shields would look good, and they did.  not sure about all black???

NO, I was too lazy to remove the front head pipe, which had to be done in order to remove the rear heat shield.  No offense taken, I could go either way, i have chrome and black heat shields.

I don't think it looks bad mixed. The chrome on the back pipe is more visible in the pic, can't say if it looks better. Never been a big fan of all blacked out bikes or cars. I think it would look best with chrome heat shields on both headpipes then have black pipes and slip-ons.
