Saw this on another forum; HD dealer offers stereo kits, including the Arc 125.4 500W 4-channel amp package that includes a new right side fairing bracket for batwing installations:

The dealer offers the new bracket for separate sale for $149.  Pictures of the amp intallation and bracket are in post #28.

The dealer also offers color-matched 2011 SG CVO speaker boxes.

Have you registered at hdforums.com?  I don't know if that's the problem or not.

yeah, I've been registered for years, but every time I click on them, it says I don't have enough priviledges. I take that to mean I'm not a paid subscriber?

It's a free site; no charge for pictures.

I edited my previous reply to add one of the pictures of the bracket, and added a second picture here.

Thanks Carl - that looks like the modified stock brackets, right?  Where does he have the amp, and where is that bracket? Is it ontop of the stock radio?

Gosh, I just had my radio out for repair at IronCross, and I cannot fathom how i would possibly get the XM and CB units under there!  Turned out the damage to the radio was due to the riser bolts banging the bottom of the radio, and I swapped the to the lower profile bolts, but that still isn't going to help fit the XM/CB??

I'd love to get the 125.4 but I just can't see it working without a lot of modding. (READ:  Hacking)

The last of the four pics from the link.

If you look at the last picture, that's probably the CB module just visible on the left side and appears to use Velcro to secure it to the bottom of the HK.  I had my CB module installed that way until I bought Scott's (141_starlifter) bracket.

The Arc 125.4 is very similar to J&M's 500W amp which requires the plastic buckets that secure the speedo and tach to the inner fairing to be cut to remove about 1/2" of material to provide more depth for the amp on top of the HK.

I'm waiting for the Rockford Fosgate 300W 4-channel (4 X 75W @ 4 ohm) amp.

But a Harley dealer marketing audio options with a modified fairing bracket seemed noteworthy.

From what I understand the J&M new 500w IS the ARC 125.4.  Know the 250w was the ARC 125.2, I'd say this is a safe assumption.

I was actually thinking about just chit canning the XM module and I'm sure I could get the CB module some where.

Thanks for the photos!

Haven't seen any comparison of the guts of the 125.4 with the J&M amp.  Obvious differences are the amp inputs and outputs.  Physical dimensions supplied for both are different, as are the audio specs.

There's no reason to give up either module if using the J&M amp; and, probably no reason if Scott's bracket will work with the 125.4 and the aforementioned fairing bracket.

The nice thing about the J&M product is, its a complete kit wthe the brackets and its plug and play. No need for the outputs. Dr V-Twin offers nice discounts so it might be a better solution? I dunno?
