My Dads B24J Liberator flown in the South Pacific. Came back off a later mission and the Bee was missing, there was a scrapnel hole where it had been, lucky to be alive, I guess. The Pilots wifes name was Beatrice Rose Simpkins.

This is the link to the Honor Flight Network  which is the national site.  http://www.honorflight.org/

I have had the privilege of being an escort on 2 of these flights.  It is a honor to be involved with these great men.  The day is long but when they get the chance the "warrior" of these great men is rekindled for that 1 day.  Most of them had to get up between 3:30-4:00 AM and we did not land back home till midnight.  That did not deter the Veteran one bit.  They still have so much to give in terms of history and enthusiasm.  They are truly "The Greatest Generation"

You owe it to them and yourself to get involved and help out.  It is one of the best feelings you will ever have.
