The way i understand it one of the advantages of the Woods lifters is they will not interfere with piston cooling oil flow unless you are running more than .750 lift. The body of the lifter is ground differently to accomplish this. As a normal lifter travels up and down in it's bore the flow is interrupted  and (squirts oil).
