Need help with correct exhaust to purchase for my FXSTDSE2
« on: January 05, 2012, 10:20:10 AM »

Hey everyone... I purchased a FXSTDSE2 from the US and imported it into Australia. I need to put Factory HD exhaust on the bike to get the compliance sorted before it can be registered here.
See attached picture to see what is already hanging off the block.

My question is can I use a 2007 softail standard exhaust on my bike? if not what can I use?
Thanks heaps in advance

Should look like this. Screamin' Eagle slash exhaust. If you're just putting them on for inspection, don't buy new. You can find them on ebay - like this

Those are the stock mufflers but it appears from the picture the OP posted he's going to need the OEM head pipes too. What he has on the bike now appear to be V&H exhaust and I don't think the stock mufflers will work on those. :nixweiss:

Thanks for the help... I got myself a stock set of 04 Deuce header pipes and mufflers on frame for $120 and a set of slip on SE mufflers for $60 if I can find the OEM set of header pipes I'm all set.... finding parts is damn hard but hey whats life without a challenge!
