Power Commander
« on: May 20, 2006, 03:30:05 PM »

I am wondering is anyone has purchased a Power Commander from Fuel Moto in Neenah, Wisconsin?  They sell them on eBay and are a certified DynoJet dyno tuner.  They sell the PC's already programmed to your mods.  Here's their eBay auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4640504173&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I'm thinking of the Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 with either the Rinehart Slip ons or the V&H Oval Slip ons, and the Power Commander.  Anyone have a reaaly good map with either of these set ups?  I plan to keep the stock head pipses.

I bought my PCIII from Eastern Cycle off of EBAY for 277.00 and free shipping. As for already programmed you can go to www.powercommander.com and check for a map comparible to your setup and its free. Hope this helps. Later,Q

The Power Commander site only has one map for a '06 SE 103".  That's why I thought maybe one of these dyno centers like Fuel Moto might have tuned a '06 SE Ultra.

IMHO,

If it was my bike I would go with a good tuner and go with his suggestions or buy the Freedom Exhaust System, cause they used my 06 CUSE to create a map for the Power Commander and I know my CUSE runs really GOOD. Don't throw money to "I think it will work" websites and such, again this is MHO

Freedom Cycles can send you their complete system, then bolt on the parts and get on the CUSE and smile - oh and hang on

Jeff,

How loud are the Freedom pipes?  Can you mount other slip ons to the head pipes or are they like the Rineharts and will only accept their pipes?

That's why I'm thinking about the Ness Big Sucker, slip ons and the PC.  If want, or need, to change pipes there won't be a problem.

George,

I am not sure on your question of other slip ons but if I were you I would give Brad @ Freedom Cycles a call to discuss (775) 358-3500

As far as loud exhaust - if your in the throttle you and drivers of cars will hear you but at cruising speeds the exhaust noise is not an issue, I can listen to my stereo at modest volume levels. The reason I suggest the Freedom Package is I know it works and you will get the mapping from my CUSE. I am sure there are others performance exhaust packages out there but if I didn't do the Freedom package I would have found a Top Notch Reliable Dyno Tuner and went with his suggestions and let him do the complete package setup. Nothing worse than buying a package and your CUSE won't run correctly, my last 03 SERK was a great scooter but when I let off the throttle I got a popping sound like microwave popcorn and I told myself "next bike won't have that" and I can honestly say with the Freedom Package I don't have it.
