I don't see the issues with my bike that have been reported elsewhere.  I'm going to ride it and enjoy it!

No paint issues with mine that i can see. I think it looks great inside or out. Never had so many compliments on a bike as i have had on this one.

Frederick HD in Frederick, Maryland has a 2011 Red/Black SE Ultra and a new 2001.5 Blue/Black SE Ultra.

I was impressed with the new Blue Color, pictures do not do it justice!!!!

After looking at the Blue one closely, it does appear to have some paint inconsistencies....the outer fairing looks black, the inner fairing is black with blue flacks and a blue hue....

The tour pack is black, the saddle bag covers have the same blue hue in the black paint as the inner fairing...

Shouldn't all the black parts be similar in paint & color?

As this a side, the Blue/Black is SHARP!!!!!

If you are viewing it indoors, remember that the direction the piece was painted in will determine the orientation of the metalflake (this is why it is hard to repaint just a spot).  The same color may look darker or lighter depending on the "direction" of the flake, the direction of the light source, etc..  If in the sun , they should all look the same...

Here she is. Finally home. Gonna start putting it together. I don't see any purple hue or any color mismatch. Sky was overcast, I couldn't even see any metallic. I'm sure it'll show up when sun comes out. The Twilight Blue looks near black. Pictures don't do this bike justice, it's so much nicer looking in the flesh!   :mango:

I'd say with three CVO recent year model bikes your handle may be correct...Lucky!  Or perhaps it should be Work(ed) Hard?

Enjoy the new ride...

Opinions always vary but for me this is the nicest paint scheme/implementation I have seen on a HD for years. I almost traded my 2011 SESG for one in New Orleans last weekend. That blue is awesome. And seeing it in the sun is what sells it.....
