Arc Audio FLHTCUSE5 Install
« on: April 25, 2011, 10:36:28 PM »

I need a little help..I'm installing a Arc 125.2 in a 2010 FLHTCUSE5 that has a factory amp..We are disconnecting and removing the factory amp. Can someone tell me the wiring diagram colors for the rear speakers or do I need to pull two new speaker wires to the rear.  The front is wired and ready.  Just trying to see if I can tie in at the radio or if I need to pull new wires..Thanks....

My iPad won't open that page either.   Might be Safari.   :nixweiss:

Prior to starting, you do know that you are just bumping the front two speakers, so you do not disconnect the HD HO amp, right? If you do, you will loose the boost to the rears.  If I rcall, you are still using the high levels from the HD amp for the fronts too.  I'm holding out for the 125.4, once we get some reviews on that.

Where will you mount the XM and CB modules?  I ask because I'm pretty sure you won't be able to put the Arc 125.2 on top of the modules and get the outer fairing on.

If the 125.2 is the same size or smaller as the Hawg Wired 1502 then it will fit on top of the 2 modules if you put the amp as far back as it will go. That's how I did it with my 10 SESG. The Hawg Wired amp is thinner than the factory harley amp that's on the 2011 SESG.

The Arc 125.2 is a bit taller (+1.05") and deeper (+.2") than the HW  1502 according the specs for both amps.

When I installed the Arc on my '04 with two modules (a CB module and an empty CB module to provide a flat surface) side-by-side on top of the HK, the fairing would not go back on and the amp was mounted against the plastic cups that secure the speedo and tach.  I moved the CB module and attached it to the bottom of the HK radio.  I've since sold the amp and am waiting for the RF amp; but, purchased the bracket sold by Scott (141_starlifter) to mount the new amp and module.

I don't know if the CUSE5 provides more space than the '04 EG.

Good luck with the installation.

J&M includes a relocation kit for both the 125.2 and 125.4 to move the CB and XM units below the radio. No need to source a secondary bracket.

Providing you buy the amp from them as well. They will not sell the bracket separately...a few of us e-mailed them and we were told they are having trouble keeping up with current demand and they may be able to sell just the bracket towards the end of the summer. There is a member on here making just the bracket if anyone needs to buy one. His e-mail address is ezzell141@comcast.net

Well, exactly that. J&M openly uses the ARC amps, and creates an all-inclusive kit, with the brackets and harnesses. If you got to Dr VT you can get a pretty good deal, and not have to worry about sourcing additional pieces to put this all together.

Except if you wanted to just add the second radio module to an '11 SESG with the factory amp already there, you need to get just the bracket in order to do that.
