After I came out with the HDP-Bomm for the IPhone folks started emailing and calling me to find out if it would work with an Android based smart phone. After telling them that Apple likes to do things there way and there way was not going to work with an Android OS they asked if I was going to design an interface that could be used with an smart phone that operated with the Android OS.
There are so many manufactures of Android phones that it was time consuming doing the research on them. After a few months of research, design and building prototypes I am happy to say that the New Android phone interface has passed my testing and trial time and will be available starting this April.
The price will be the same as the interface for the IPhone.
The model will be HDA-Bomm with the "A" designation for Android.
The new IPhone designation will be HDI-Bomm with the "I" designation for IPhone.
One difference between the IPhone interface and the Android interface operation is that when making a phone call you might have to click on the "speaker" icon on the phone when in phone mode. The IPhone automatically sends audio to the headset while the Android does not. I do not know if this is phone specific or not but that is the way it works with the Samsung Galaxy Note. You may not need to do this with your Android phone.
I am not an expert with any phone so please do not ask me Android phone questions. With the HDA-Bomm interface you can voice control your Android phone and make and take phone calls using your helmet intercom system while riding down the road at 70 mph.
