I had the Monotubes and they just didn't work. There was a bump when I hit the brake and they bottomed out when I went over a curb at a gas station. Hated them. Got the Ricors and they have been great. When you hit  a hard bump, it feels like your riding on rubber. Much more control in corners too. I'd get them again.

Who installed them?  This is the first report I've heard about them doing that.

I have the Ricor's and have not any experience with monotubes.

The Ricor's controlled the "wallow" in turns and stabilized the bike and also decreased dive considerably.

There was one bump on a off ramp going to my work and I would hit it every time almost knocking my teeth out, since the

Ricor install I barely notice it all anymore.

TCnBham, here is the post that compares the two. Dealer installed them--twice. They just didn't work out and Progressive wasn't very helpful. I wanted them to work so badly too.

I remember reading that thread now...sorry to hear you had a bad experience but are happy with what you have.  Must have gotten a bad set...too bad Progressive didn't see fit to help resolve the problem.  I don't really have a dog in the hunt 'cause I've got Traxxion AK-20's on the front of my bike.

OK, totally different question.  I have a Road Glide 2011 CVO and have a deceleration shimmy, the acceleration shimmy has finally been taken care of.  I was told by dealer Service Manager and Owner that it is a design flaw and nothing can be done to correct it.  :soapbox:

Try tightening the fall-away on the steering neck.  spyder

what spydglide said. tighten to one swing.

the only design flaw is HD's production process. :'(
