Good looking bike,   I like the wind shield on that bike, how does it perform, and do you know if Harley sells that shield. Notice you are from Columbus OH,  I just bought my 09 SERG from that area back in April.

The windshield works well. Not as well as the one on the '11 SERG, but it looks a lot better. I'm 6'3" and it does a pretty good job against the bugs and rain.

My bike and your RG are completely different as far as windshields go, of course... but if you end up not liking the windshield on your RG, you might want to check out Long Rider Shields... that's one on my bike in my sig. The tiny stock windshield had the wind hitting me right at the helmet line, which kept pushing my helmet back annoyingly. The 7' Long Rider cured that with its forward recurve... pushes the wind up and over my helmet, and works MUCH better than the stocker did. I love it. It would probably work in much the same way in the RG version...

Sweeeeeet Bike!  Love the lines and the colors.  Congratulations!

Not too long after I picked up my bike in August, I purchased an F-4 tall windshield.  I'd gotten used to looking through the one on my Goldwing, but don't really like the look or how it catches the wind.  I've noticed it effects the handling a little more than the one that was on it, but it certainly catches a lot of bugs too.  I paid over $170 bucks for it and thought it worthwhile...until now.

If you guys can attest to Long Rider Shields not allowing bugs past, I'm going to sell the F-4.  I'd rather look over, rather than though and have a windshield that doesn't jerk in a strong side wind or head wind.

Well, I can say that I haven't been hit by a bug on this bike, with this windshield... YET.

My wife rides my old '95 Police E-Glide that has a MONSTER 2"-wider-than-stock Cee Bailey windshield instead of a fairing... And two weeks ago she was whacked on the side of her helmet by some Jurassic Park bug that somehow got AROUND the "picture window" windshield to smack her! Friggin' thing spattered itself all down the right side. It was gross.

Point is: NO windshield can ever protect you from every bug! But the Long Rider shields do a good job of scooping air up over and around you...

Hummm, looken.  They're hot looking bikes.  I didn't know you could find em in a touring edition, or might have held out for one...

Thanks!
