Electronic lock switch on console
« on: May 20, 2011, 03:33:53 PM »

How is this switch supposed to work?  I tried using the console switch this morning instead of the key fob but it doesn't seem to do anything.  Maybe I missed something in the manual.

The lock switch  at the dash is to lock your trunk and saddle bags while underway

You are correct,

an unlocked ignition switch will allow access to all of your bags/trunk

lock via switch with FOB then,
try this,  turn ignition switch in without fob, see alarm go off and see if electric knocked off .
start switch is dead I know

Sorry bout the dumb question before didnt even look where you had posted if you want to totally imobilise the bike you have to lock the trunk and bags in access or ign mode the turn switch across to lock forks make sure forks are all the way to the left and either use key or key fob lock again to lock forks ...my r/g has stopped working with the key fob on the forks taklng it in next week to have fixed

Thanks.  Working now..   ;)  For some reason I thought it would sense the security fob present and work with ign off and in fork lock position.
