Check to verify your outer cam chain (cam to crank) isn't off a tooth (advanced).  Symptoms would be heat and loss of low end power.

That'll show about 30 psi difference from one to the other.
Have seen this many times, and have one coming in now, to attend to that same scenario.
Several years ago a fracas erupted(when didn't it? hehe) on another message board, as a do-it-yourselfer, installed one of our 95" combos, and the power was off.
He was upset, and we were evil doers.
We sat back and weaved our way through things with him, as we KNOW what our combo's produce.
After EXTENSIVE conversation with that individual, come to find out, he had a cam off a tooth, and the rings in the wrong grooves, and upside down to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONCE that was staightened out, the little 95"er showed 99 hp and 107 ft/lbs, as that combo was supposed to.
Never ceases to amaze us that this is the same type of guy that'll take his lawn mower in to be serviced, but by God, he'll boldly go, where angels fear to tread, into his Harley.

Alright this is were I'm at.  I got 8oz. out during the sump test, double checked timing marks on the cams and gears,  got the bike re-tuned and was told the bike was running fat so it wasn't lean,  Checked the compression,  looked for foaming in the oil.  I changed the oil from 4qts. of straight 50w Torco to       3.5qts. of Redline 20w 50w and removed the updraft deflectors I forgot I added this winter and it ran mint allday oil temp sat between 200 to 230 wich is perfect.  I haven't heard of any overheating issues with the addition of the updraft defectors on the RG's.  Could the syn. oil change have solved it?  Or it was maybe the combination of the tune, oil change and removal of the updraft deflectors?  Any how I hoping it doesn't happen again high 200's on a cooler day just isn't right.
