Hi.

Just installed a set of the ECC-Approved Monster Ovals and they are really great. They have three different cores you can install in various combinations and you can really tune the sound and backpressure to your liking. They range from mellower than original to really loud. Im running with one core now and the sound is perfect for me. A really nice and very low rumble that doesnt get to loud when you are giving it some throttle exactly what im been searching for. All in all, im really happy with these...

Torbjørn, Congrats on your new FLHTCUSE6 and the V&H Monsters. Can you please provide part numbers for mufflers and whatever is needed for this installation. The adjustment of noise level is new to me and very interesting:-)

I bought my bike with those pipes already installed...and it's pretty quiet...am wondering if I can remove a baffle or two to get a bit more noise? do I need parts?...or is everything already in the pipes?

Hi.

This link should answer both questions and yes, you can remowe the baffles. Just remowe the allenbolts and pull them out. There is actually another big baffle in the damper that can be remowed but that one takes a little bit more work. I get perfect backpressure and Afr with the medium baffle in the dampers. Didn't even need to do any remapping. Perfect Afr throughout the entire powerband. It also runs cooler due the decreased backpressure. The HD originals has a very badly designed baffle that gives way to much backpressure and that is something that builds heat. The ECM in my bike seems to have a rather big span for selfadjusting the Afr. It actually learns. I have my own afr-equipment so i hooked it up to the bike and took a nice ride last day and the afrnumbers was a little on the lean side at first but after a 100 km tour they where perfect and constantly around 13,5-13,8 with a nice boost of fuel during various loads. I'm sorry if my English isn't good enough to make you understand what i mean but i really think that the ecm in at least the European bikes is selftuning to a rather large extent.
