Need some help here. I have an 06 UCSE. Off the floor decked the heads 30thds, pistons, rings, SS570 cam, stage 1 and a V&H pro pipe, everything polished and ported. dyno'd at 110.5 hp and 120.8 torq. This bike was unbelievably smoooth and fast. Everyone who rode it said OMG.
So--this is what happened---1 1/2 yrs ago on a 4k ride I blew off the pro pipe end cap. Had it replaced up in oregon with the new V&H pro pipe BP (blue proof). That pipe sucked--lost an incredible amount of power and torq. Shortly afterward i heard a slight intermittment noise in the bottom end. Took it to Monte at Sac harley---he has a knack for finding the problem---ride it like he stole it. He found the problem just as the cam bearing went through the motor--oh yea baby!!! This happened at 48k miles. Sac Harley and Monte worked magic to get it all back together with a bomb proof lower end as well--all the goodies. Retuned and dyno'd. Same HP and only 1.9 off the torq. This BP pro pipe really sucks. The bike is just flat opposed to how it was. Have to use a lot of throttle all the time and constantly hitting the rev limiter becasue it just flattens out at 3800 rpm where is used to just pull straight through 5k.
Been asking around and have heard that the Bub 2 into 1 bub 7 is pulling better numbers than anything V&H has. before I drop that kind of money for the pipe and another ride on the dyno have any of you any knowledge of the Bub 7 and how it is comparing? Need to get this thing running better beofre a 6k ride in July.
