    • CVO1: CVO SERG - Silver 2009

Just a curious question - would you ride your SERG 09 or any other 2009 110 engine that was properly tuned to run the Fullsacs 2.25 and change over to Vance & Hines Hi-Outputs and ride for a few days before getting a proper tune? I plan on getting it tuned within the next couple weeks but I have time to switch the pipes this weekend but don't want to switch them and a ride presents itself and I'll do damage to the motor or decil pop all over the place.

Just curious, would you change the pipes and still ride for a while? I think they're pretty close to exhaust output but I was just wondering from the more knowledgable than I.

Thanks

I would definitely say your fine. There wouldn't be much difference to the tune for just replacing slip ons, especially from one hi-flow to another.

I had mine dyno'd last year when I had the stock hi flow intake and 2.25" Fullsacs on. Dyno guy was going to do a custom map, but said he wouldn't bother, as it was running great.

This year I swapped out the Fullsacs for 4" Rineharts, and a RSD Air Cleaner. Figured I'd need a re-tune, so took it to a different dyno tuner, and he said the same thing as the first- it was running great with the TTS Fullsac map, so he said don't fix it if it ain't broke.

    • CVO1: 2010 CVO Ultra - Riptide Blue

This spring I went from Fullsac 2.25 cores with Fullsac map on a 2010 Ultra to V&H hi-output slip ons without making any changes to the map.  I have not had any problems in approx. 2000 miles - had a little decel pop with the Fullsac cores and still have a little decel pop under the right conditions - not a big deal.  Just my experience not an expert by any means.

The only problem I have had is finding time to ride with all the rain - fricken raining again today.

Northstar and BlueGoose - really appreciate your responses. I thought as much but wanted to hear some thoughts from the folks on the CVO site.

Off to switch out slip on's.
