We were visiting family in Texas for the July 4th weekend. Spotted Fire-flys across the yard and called to Carole to come see. The family thought we'd lost our minds because they take them for granted. Seems extra special to us because it was something we grew up around and now we don't see them. We don't have Cardinals either and saw them in Texas as well.

I was at a friends in Uruguay (South America) around December 20, 2010. Their summer time. They have different birds as well but what was most interesting to me was not recognizing the night sky. In the southern hemisphere the star patterns are different than here in the northern hemisphere which I didn't think about until I was there. I was amazed at how much I could tell the difference. (No Big Dipper, no North Star) I just wanted to study the difference in the sky for awhile. Didn't make me seem small but it did make me feel like I was part of something huge and great if I just took some time to pay attention to it.

Get your "Motor Running Head", out on the highway!

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men
