Mclouds restaurant & resort
« on: July 05, 2011, 09:40:08 PM »

My wife & I planned a trip 07/03/11 & included dinner at Mclouds restaurant in Lafollette,TN.( www.mtcloud.com ) We made reservations & on our way checking in we stopped at the security checkpoint. It was at this point we were informed that motorcyclists are frowned upon & not welcome at there gated resort! I've stayed in multi-million dollar golf resorts allover the country & always welcomed graciously on our HD. I just wanted to give the motorcycling community a heads up & be sure & drop these backwoods hillbillys a piece of your mind just as I have.

X2, maybe stop and see the big green dinosaur or buy fireworks, that s all I ever think of when Lafollette comes to mind.

The dinosaur is still standing but the building that sold the fireworks burned.

Just checked the property's website.  They don't like bikes but they've got a helo landing pad.  Like rotary wing doesn't make any noise....

As my wife and I have family in the area we are aware of the development and would come to the restaurant with them during visits. However if this (below) is the policy, I am no longer interested. (BTW, We travel in the Lexus, I use the bike alone...)

I guess if you purchased one of their 160K lots and they found out you rode a motorcycle, they'd not let you either build or enter the place on your bike...

Actually, I've run into this a time or two traveling in the Florida Panhandle when trying to stay in a nicer type hotel/motel.  I told them to go F themselves and I'd take my 40K bike and money elsewhere if they didn't like it.

Don't plan on going to Kiawah Island, SC either. They don't allow motorcycles there either!

I like how Fattbaggernknox doesn't just quietly walk away from this. It seems like that is what people who provide bad service hope you'll do. They can't handle a confrontation demanding they do the right thing by people.

I bet nice E-mails by a couple hundred interested couples requesting $1.00 to $2.00 worth of flyers mailed to their addresses can be more annoying than motorcycles.  :nervous: :2vrolijk_21: :nervous:
