Check engine and battery indicator lights on.
« on: July 17, 2011, 10:51:08 AM »

Anybody know why or fix ? Dealer can not look at the bike for 2 weeks. I want to ride.
Codes: P0562, P0563, P1006, P1007.
Battery at 12.9 volts, 13.4 volts when revved to 3600 rpm.
Cleared codes.
Charged the battery overnight. Checked codes. None. Cruised around a few times. Good.
Came back after 1 hr of riding.
Does HD cover the voltage regulator and or stator on extended warranty ?
Thanks in advance.

The voltage regulator and the stator would be covered by the ESP.

Sounds like a section of the stator went bad. Made a 100 mile ride with the same readings, turned all accys. off, had 13.5v. Got close to home, turned all back on, 1 mile later C.E.L, battery light back on and less than 12v. Found a burned section in stator. Replaced, all is good.
