Help from anyone with the Ultracool oil cooler.
« on: July 18, 2011, 10:15:12 AM »

Sorry if I put this in the wrong place but I need help with my install.

I am having trouble with the reroute of the clutch cable. If I put it behind the down tubes it is going to be very close to the new motor mount on the top of the engine.

What to do.....?

I helped a freiend install one beginning summer and trust me the cable works fine relocated behind the down tubes,,, follow the instructions, apply the tie wrap through the little hole on the cross brace, it's there, just look for it.. Do this and you wont have any interference problems with the top motor mount.. Also make sure to cut the tie wraps supporting the clutch cable inside the faring to allow more slack, which you will need.

good luck..

I remember a clear set of instructions, you may want to contact Ultracool and ask them to email you a PDF copy.. Where did you purchase from? It's very simple though,  I recall red wire going too accessory switch, black to ground and that's it...The thermostat is self contained and does not require power, it simply regulates oil flow based on temperature.

I'm just guessing, but that's probably a sensor for the fan operation.

Or you could simply google Ultra Cool and go to the install page on their web
site and download the pdf and look at the pictures of the install to get
the information you need.

Well ..... Here is what happened. I purchased this cooler from a company in Canada which since went bankrupt. Nothing was right even the plastic shroud doesnt fit. So..... I called Robert from the Company and he was not happy and said he will send me all the right stuff.

Now I am happier

Thanx Guys

This Company "Ultracool" has GOOD costomer SERVICE.
