How to wire these Radianz led blinkers ?
« on: August 04, 2011, 06:39:41 PM »

Hello,

I just get these new Radianz led blinkers from Heartland USA which fits into the struts (http://heartlandbiker.com/_product_7338/Internal_Strut_Lights). Here below detailed pics of these lights.

Do you know how or have any advice on how to wire these to replace the stock blinkers on an CVO Sringer FXSTSSE3 ? Do I need another part or can I directly connect to the existing wires? Red, yellow, black ? which ones to which original ones ?

Sorry about these maybe silly questions but electricity and myself are really two separate things  :-\

Thank you in advance for your info and support

Greetings   Laurent

These will probably require a load equalizer to blink correctly due to their low draw. Pretty easy to wire up, just find the connectors for the left & rt turn signals,  go to HD dealer and have parts guy get you a matching set of connectors that will plug into the male and female plug for each side and one to install on these new lights. Make yourself a TEE connector that will plug in between the male and female t/s connectors that exist now, kind of a jumper and then hook the led unit to the left over side of the TEE. That is how I did mine, took a few minutes and required no damage to the wiring harness and will just unplug when you sell the bike, no one will ever know it was there. Try Custom Dynamics for the load equalizer, one unit should control the complete bike. Be sure and order the pins for the plugs if they don't come with them, some do, some don't. Remember you need the big parts catalog for these plug/connectors/pins not the accesssory catalog.
