Need a Chevy Tech HELP
« on: August 21, 2011, 05:31:32 PM »

Ok I have a 2002 Avalanche. The driver side power wind is driving me crazy.... It won't go down but if i take the panel off and start to remove the motor it takes pressure off and works fine. the cables and all are good but the up and down works good for a while and then poof it won't go down till I go to remove the motor. What stops the power to the motor when you get to thje top. I thing the motor runs to long when going up and gets to tight.......any help would be appreciated.

In my 99 Tahoe I had both door motors replace at 90K miles & 7 years of use.  Simimliar issues as yours.  They told me that while the motors get tired, there is a regulator in there that causes a lot of the issues.  Don't know if the 02 has the regulator but might be worth looking into.
