They are two of seven Grandchildren. These two and mommy are staying with us temporarily. It's a blessing to experience having them around almost daily. The little one really didn't want to get on the bike. She wasn't sure if it would take off with her, big, loud noisy machine that it is...
In Monterey, when I was around 5 years old, a friend of my parents put me on the tank in front of him and rode slowly around the neighborhood. I've never forgotten that ride. These days it's a bit harder to do those types of things, without getting in a jam with LEO. But, they will ride as soon as they have helmets and mommy says they can.
Don't know why the photo came in sideways. Thought I'd turned it before attaching. Hummm.
This is another shot, with Oma included. She's my official co-rider for most trips.
The reason for the names Oma and Opa: We met in Frankfurt Germany in 1967. We were Military brats and lived there for a while.
Sometimes, life gives us something good...this is the best!
