Clarification on a few items
« on: August 30, 2011, 09:52:43 AM »

I have read a considerable number of posts across several forums and it appears as though a number of people have had volume issues using their new ipod interface module.  Some have had miswired connections due to early inaccurate instructions and others have gone to the extend of changing the song properties recorded on the ipod to increase volume levels.  I would like to hear if anyone has installed the module and are happy with the volume without having to modify anything.

I am also about to install the iPod interface module and have a few questions.  The bike has the CB Module and XM Module installed so it means I will have to stick the iPod module side saddle across the tops of the other two modules.  Since my fairing is already very crowded I was thinking of removing the unused XM Module and give the iPod module a better resting place.  Will removing this module cause the radio to throw an error code?  I plan on using the XM feature of my Road Tech 665 so I wouldn't need the Harley XM Module any longer.

Thanks!   FLHTCUSE2

I was one of the early adopters of the interface module kit.  I had the 19/31 wire problem and that did suck pretty bad.  Once corrected, I have had great sound from the iPod module.  When comparing it with just plugging in the AUX cable, it's as good or better.  I have upgraded to the J&M 7.25" coaxial speakers and they are the bomb.  I can hear my music at 80 mph and without a secondary amp added.
