When I shift gears its like a loud clunky noise. BAM, I cant believe oil would make that much of a difference but I'm going to try some Amsoil or some other gear lube. I just dont like that cllunkyness. thoughts?

Mine clunked until I changed to the Redline transmission oil that was reccomended by many on this site.  Now it shifts like a hot knife in butter.   [smiley=cherry.gif]

A better gear lube in the trans will help (Redline Shockproof Heavy is what I run), but the other thing that contributes to this is a dragging clutch.  I've had this problem with every Harley I've owned or ridden, and my SEEG is possibly the worst so far.  Try this little experiment:  When stopped at a traffic light, keep the clutch pulled and the trans in 1st.  Compare how the next series of shifts feels and sounds compared to sitting in neutral.
