Accessory switch on dash and under the seat connection
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:49:08 PM »

I bought a set of the HD fog lights for my crash bars and instead of using the wiring harness that came with the kit I want to use the accessory switch on the dash of my CVO RG. I have read other posts that say that switch is rated high enough so I won't have to worry about a relay or fuse since its supposed to be fused already.

Anyway, can someone post a picture of that plug that is supposed to be under the seat for the accessory swith or email me a pic.    hdking88@yahoo.com

I have found a 2 plugs under the seat, one has 2 wires running to it, yellow/green & gray/yellow, sort of oval shaped, not hot with ignition on or ignition switch on accessory?? the other is a 1 wire plug, red wire going to it, thats all besides the plug for my TP spoiler brake/running light....

HELP !!!! >:( >:( >:(   thanks

One plug under the seat is for a heated seat and is hot with the ignition being turned on. The other plug is an accessory and is tied into the dash Accessory switch.

I'm not sure about the wiring. Check your manual. It might provide some identifier to distriguish the power source for those 2 identical female plugs. Or you'll need someone with a service manual.

Moco sells a 'Y' spliter for the acc plug.
