ZUMO 665/XM volume problem
« on: July 27, 2011, 10:56:59 AM »

I have the Zumo 665 dealer installed w/NIM.  First of all everything works.  The problem is with the XM volume.  Quite often it works fine for hours and then all of a sudden the volume drops to a whisper and it is not because of a loss of XM signal.  If I try to up the volume on, the display on the HK show "Phone Volume" and not "Volume".  I've been back to the dealer and can not make it react that way when I'm there so of course they have no clue.  Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

If when you hit the volume and get "Phone Volume" the NIM is activating and muting the XM signal.

YUP!

If you installed the NIM then see if your dealer will replace it for you, they should because Harley knows they have an issue with the NIM. If it came with the bike then have the dealer replace it with the new model of the NIM. The new model number ends with a -11A.
