Waiting for the J&M 500w AMP AND 7.25" batwing speakers along with the 7.25"lower fairing upgrades. Has anyone made this switch? I will have to relocate the Ipod module to below the radio instead of on top. The instructions for installation from J&M are pretty vague. Any suggestions or help with the radio to amp wiring would be appreciated. Running speaker wires is pretty simple. THX in advance!!!

Just finished installation of the J & M 250 amp with the Rokker speakers in the upper and lower fairing of 2011 SEUC but no experience with the 500 amp or your bike. Would suggest that you have the supplemental manuals handy and read whatever you can on the internet.  Good luck!

Removed my outer fairing last night and took a look inside. Also checked out the wiring diagram that I found posted on the CVO site. It seems that I will have to cut into the wiring harness from the back of the radio to tap into the L+, L-, R+, R- to send signal to the amp. Not a purely simple plug and play (as with a stock SG with no amp) but not so difficult either. If I ever wanted to go back to stock all I have to do is splice those four wires back together and reinstall the speakers and amp.

Just tracked the shipment of goods. They are on truck for delivery TODAY. I will post pics of the splice into the wiring harness for anyone else who wants to get rid of the stock BOOM audio amp that comes with 2011 CVO FLHXSE2!!! I have two friends that are on their second and third amps.

Again, I am not sure about the wiring on your bike, but on the 11 CUSE you have to tap into the wires coming out of the back of the radio  because the wiring harness is reversed due in part to the original amp being located under the tour pack. Though not necessarily the best method for doing this, J & M is utilizing some type of quick splice connect when they do this install on a 2011 CUSE . I think they may be using t-tabs but I could never get a straight answer from them. You tap into the wires from the radio when  you intend to run the lower fairing speakers off of the existing amp and the upper fairing speakers off of the new 250 amp. In your case I am assuming that you intend to run the upper and lower speakers off of the J & M amp? If so do you have an existing amp on your bike and do you intend to keep it? If not then you may not need to tap into the wires for the pre-amp signal  but instead run them straight to the new J & M amp. Just something to consider.

I will be watching this link. With all the problems I have been having this might be the way to go.

Thanks to all who will be giving input to this link.

Just finished installation of the J&M 500W amp,  and ROKKER 7 .25" fairing speakers and 7.25" lower speakers.  The only problem I have is the FR channel is bad on the amp. I have isolated it to that specific channel.  Sounds really good on both upper and lower speakers though.

Tight fit - not plug and play. Had to splice into the old amp wiring harness. I could probably do this install in 1/5 of the time now that I've done it. If anyone needs some advice help - let me know.

Will keep all posted. Sucks having to wait for another amp.

So would you call this a big improvement? Does the system have any base now, or is it still lacking? Would really like a big improvement if I am going to go through all the trouble.

I am interested in the sound once you get your new amp. I have the 250 watt and it rocks  :2vrolijk_21: if you can, post a video.

I will definitely let all know when i get the new amp. There has been a flicker of GREAT SOUND when it kicks in. In other words, there is definite short IN THE AMP, but when it catches it is powerful amd clear . Kinda multiplies anticipation times twenty. Lotsa work to find out one out of four channels aren't kickin.
