Condition of Stock Header
« on: September 13, 2011, 09:45:56 PM »

I just installed a Fullsac X-Pipe with Rinehart slip-ons and when I removed the factory header I was quite surprised. In the picture below on the bottom I have a new 2011 header with ~ 5 miles on it. On the top is the header from my 2011.5 SEUC with ~ 1200 miles on it. I knew the cat ran hot and would figure that the rear cylinder would run hotter than the front but I was not expecting such a difference as shown in the discoloring.

Does anyone know if this is normal?

Mine was not that bad, but I have seen others that were. I changed mine at about 100 miles. Dang that looks hot.

My 2010 SESG wasn't quite that bad, but close.
