Need help with the clear plastic covering the rear frnder where the pillion contacts. Went to a solo & peeled it off thnking I'd simply replace for full seat trips. When I asked the parts peeps at local store, got the thousand yard stare.

Any sign shop has 3M Protecto Film. They will cut it however you want, not cheap but easy to come by. Easy to install, I do it wet with rubber squeege, but some people are good enough to install it dry.

If you can't find what you need locally, try this place for strips of 3M film.  They sell it by the foot, in various widths. It's probably not quite as thick as what was on the bike originally, since it's supposed to be nearly invisible when installed, but if that's a problem just install two layers.
