I'm still going round and round with the seat gap on my '09 SERG.  I've just been authorized "another" new '09 seat, this will be my fourth '09 SERG seat.

The dealership will get credit for the cost of an '09 SERG and I can pay the difference to get the '11 SESG seat.  I understand that the '11 SESG's have NOT had any seat gap issues like the '09 SERG and the '10 SESG bikes.

My question is this, will the seat from a SESG fit the SERG?  I read on the HD forum that they do not, but I've read here someplace that someone did have a '10 SESG seat on an '09 SERG.

I'm going to the dealership this afternoon to see what I can get ordered and I would like to know if the SESG '11 is going to fit my SERG.

I know lots of you guys would just keep the stock seat and buy another seat, but I already have a Sundowner seat that I bought for my '08 SERK and it fits my SERG perfectly without any of the frame rails installed.  The tank console fit is flawless and there is no pulling away when I sit on it.  AND, I actually like the comfort for me of the original and I've heard from the '11 guys that they really like the stock CVO SESG seats as well.

So I just want to do a HD seat and move on.

It should fit without a problem, just a caution,without a tour- pak, the 11 seat is going to look bulkier, vs your 09 seat. It will also raise your seat height.

I traded mine (SESG2) to Just-us-6. I installed it for him the other day on his SERG. Fit fine with no gap issue.  Might PM him.

I put a 2009 street glide (NON) CVO seat on my SERG And it fit's Great. No gap and looks great. Sorry, no pics of it.
I also have a C&C Solo and love it.

Stu.....that should be easy to figure out.  Just like the cranks and the bearings....the MoCo doesn't seem to care (they're capable, just don't care) about getting those right, either.

Yep after 2 HD seats I went to a C&C and lo and behold it fits beautiful......and its real leather too.

I put a 2010 SESG seat on my 09 SERG and it was a nice improvement. Fits good, looks good, sits lower and is more comfortable.

MOCO will approve a new '09 seat, again!

When I went in Saturday I tried a '10 SESG seat on the SERG and it fit, but not real well with the rear bracket it had on it.  This was a paint tin upgraded bike and they had put on the '10 SESG seat and may have used a different rear bracket.

They have a orange, not sure of the exact color name, '11 SESG on the floor.  I sat on that it was night and day from my '09 SERG.  The seat pocket for my butt was a lot more pronounced and the rear of the seat for the BSR is a bit thicker, but not much if any wider.  Even though the '11 seat has the Reptile inserts, it's not all that different from the buffalo print.

The '09 seat has a higher list than the '11 seat so I do not have to pay anything above the '09 seat under warranty.  Because this is my choice to replace the seat with an alternate seat, there is no credit for the difference either.

They have a new front rim ordered for me because of a chrome chip as well as the seat.

I was able to "acquire" a SESG seat from a friend... not sure of whether it is a '10 or '11 seat, but for me it fits just fine.

(I think this is the '10 as it has the "pad" behind the riders butt) I had to use my original SERG seat tab and not the extended one as the seat sat too far forward with the extended tab.

No complaints... for me and my 29" IS it seems to do just fine. there does seem to be a LOT of padding in the middle center in front of the "goods" but not to where its uncomfortable.. just enough to know it was there.

Passenger pillion isnt as wide, but seems thicker. BSR hasnt been on it yet. I also have a '10 FHLX seat that I havent tried yet.

I finally had to change mine out... the original set pan cracked in several places.
