torn seat on an 09

hello guys haven't been in a while, i remember seeing some posts having to do with the seat on the 09 cvo ultra, and maybe other years, tearing in the front near the tank. i tried to find them and was having some trouble. What was the outcome there, if any. mine just developed a small tear, 5 months out of warranty. just looking for a little backround info, thanks Jim

Hello Jim,
 Had the same tear on my seat, 09 SEUC. Dealer replaced seat under warranty while bike was in shop for some other service /recall /warranty work. (Front tire, tank mount brace, heated grips, XM antenna). New seat had a somewhat differant profile on the nose where the tear occurred and has been fine since. No problem, no hassle, but I have a long term relationship with my dealer and they have always treated me well.

Same here, I had mine replaced with 2 days left on the factory warranty.

Dealer replaced the torn seat on my 10 under warranty.

Even though you're a few months out of warranty, you should still talk to your dealer and ask him to go to bat for you to get H-D to take care of it on a goodwill policy adjustment.  I believe some dealers are actually authorized to offer goodwill adjustments on their own.  If you don't ask, you'll never know.

I might be asking too much here guys, but could you help a brother out ans email copies of your service order on the seats. block out your personal info, just need the dealer info date and RO. number and the service section. if not just send me the RO. number dealer r and date so i can compile a "defense".
