Can anyone tell me what the fuel check valve torque spec for a 2000 SERG?
Now for the rest of the story... my bike was idling low (sometimes) and fine others. At times it would simply die at a stop. Then it would run OK sometimes and then sometime not; acceleration was sluggish sometimes and other times seemed very responsive. I couldn't pin it down. I posted several topics of what I thought it was, but nothing really ever seemed to do the trick. I read here, I believe that it could be that the fuel filter needed replacing and since the bike turned 20K, thought it was a good time to do so. While pulling the fuel pump mechanism out of the tank I noticed a pin hole peeing gas out of the side of the outlet hose from the fuel pump to the check valve. Now that didn't look right. I assume there should be constant pressure there, and could be problamatic when the tank went more empty than full. Subsequently, I'm replacing the hose which as noted attaches to the check valve, which comes in a "kit", you can't purchase just the replacement hose. That's a $50 dollar fuel line, not to mention the $90 fuel filter "kit" originally purchased. Anyway, I hope this bit of information may help others and then back to my original question, can someone tell me what the torque spec is for the check valve?
Thanks all and ride safe!
