New bike Break in period
« on: March 17, 2012, 11:27:22 PM »

Let me tell you, the recommended break in period is brutal! Especially knowing that there is a 110 under me.

Finally got myself a decent 150 mile putt in today, but with not being able to stomp on it and soar by everything in my way is a killer!

I Now have 185 miles on my black beauty and can't wait till I can rip the throttle till she screams.

Just my rant for today. :soapbox:

Must be painful.

I don't have any problems when it comes to breaking in a new bike,,,,I live 800 kilometers away from the dealer.

800 K's home, a little rest and check / look over, then 800 K's back to the dealer for the first service.

1600 K's (1000 miles) all up and then it's time for the ECM to learn some new tricks !

Since I totally disagree with the HD brake in process, here is a link to the right way.

I know this is very controversial subject but I have used this process for years on everything.  I stumbled onto this link a while back.

Only one comment, run it hard does not mean abuse it.
