For me -------The SESG is more sporty looking , better ride( I like em a little firm) I don't need or want a CB, better looking wheels, choice of using king or chopped pak , the new stereos work just fine and the ones on the 12's are even better  so no need for rear speaker pods, the ass end of the bike is ten times prettier, the tank console speaks for itself, you can put the zumo or whatever on the SESG if you  can't read a map or have trouble getting lost, just all in all a much better package for both worlds to me. Thats why some folks buy corvettes and some  folks buy mercedes. Glad they make em both but I like th sportier look and feel. And whoever above said something about the weight--------you are right , the ultras feel like a tank compared to the SESG.
