36 front, 40 rear.  That's what the book calls for.  No difference loaded or unloaded.

Both H-D and Dunflop recommend 36 front, 40 rear.  Both tires are rated for maximum load at 42 psi, which I would take to be the maximum recommended pressure (check the tire sidewalls for the real actual maximum).  I assume you already knew the recommended pressures, so I guess my question is why do you ask what everyone else is running?  Do you have a specific issue that you think a different pressure would fix?

I like 42 ish front 44 ish back...error in gages n such.....max load..hehehehe....I do feel a mushiness in the front end when it gets down below 38ish psi...could be all the extra weight form the speakers and amp upgrade.  :nixweiss:

X2..

Just turned 17,000 miles.  The front looks good, the rear still has tread but is cupping badly now.

Assuming you're not much over the tires load limits a good suggestion is always to go with the psi rating right on the side of the tire.  I'll always do that before I do a vehicle manufacturer's suggested specs.

All ways go with whats on the side wall of the tire, NOT THE spec n the owners manual, the tire spec is for wear
and performance. the factory spec is for comfort. the side wall spec. is always higher than hd.
