It does seem to help with the blast of air coming up from the bottom.

For that reason, I put one on Terrie's bike last week and had Jim order another for my bike.  I'll leave them on for the winter then take them off in the spring.

I do remember last winter, that cold air coming up from the front of the tank....... :o

but you do realize the baffle - and the air deflectors btw - are told to be responsible for less cooling air over the cylinder heads according to MoCo  ::)

The lower front fork curved air deflector came standard on my '09 SERG, but in black, not chrome.

On my SERG, I also added the front two deflectors that snap onto the engine guard and go up to the gas tank front retaining bolts.  These tend to defuse some of the air that comes up from the front of the gas tank area.  With the recall done on the front gas tank mounts, the upper baffle locators do not snap over the bolts, but do stay in place very well anyway.

Some say these don't help on a RG, but I found for the $40 they seem to help me out.

Yes they work wonders stopping the wind blowing over the tank hitting your chest and up to your helmet.

Adapted to my '07 FXSTC.

Where did you get those plexi wings on the side of the forks and do they help too?

They greatly reduce the wind flow on my upper leg area.
I'm not sure where I bought them, it might have been Dennis Kirk.
