Put it on my '07 cuse2 because I just did not want to cut into the wiring to make the switch.  I used 69200261 which is a part intended for the Japanese market.  It lists for over $70 but I scored one for a little over $30.  The new part they just introduced is the very same part I feel sure.

Looks like the moco figured out there was money to be made selling these but not at $70, lol.  IMO $29.95 is a reasonable price not to have to modify the wiring.  And you can take it from bike to bike if you trade.

My question for this is... I've read about other similar products and everyone I've seen states that if installed, the automatted garage door opener will no longer function using the high/low switching method designed into the headlight system.

Please correct me if I'm wrong... I have this type of system on my Chevy Tahoe and have never needed to install any additional lighting because when both high and low beams are on... I can see everything I need... no since in mis-aligning add on lights, only to blind on-coming traffic.   8)

Installing the harness has no effect on garage door opener - works same as before.  And as far as I know doing the wiring change without using the harness has no effect either.  All you are doing is powering the spots from the accy circuit.  High/low beam on headlight is unaffected.

High/low beam on headlight is unaffected.

That settles it then... I'm also gonna do this for "Sheila"

I don't actually get to ride in the dark all that often up here, as it's usually getting pretty bad on the road conditions by the time the Sun starts actually setting... I did however have an opportunity to check the lighting patterns one evening (think it was about 1am) and really like the pattern the low beam combined with the spots.  When the high beam kicks in and the spots turn off, the pattern doesn't really change all that much and I can only imagine how much better it's gonna be with all four lamps shining brightly.   8)

The only modification so far, aside from gutting the exhaust, has been replacing the stock 27w spot bulbs with ultra white 50w bulbs.  Not an easy find up here.   8)

Oh, and I love my garage door opener feature... I never could find a place to keep my extra remote, and using the high/low beam switch couldn't be easier.
