TECHNICIANS IN AMERICA..  It is supposed to be 1.5" TALLER and 2" FURTHER AWAY....  I want to pull them back to roll my shoulders back and sit more square.  I am long armed, 6'1" but I need to sit up and back against the back rest, for the long hauls...  Now, that rolls my shoulders forward..

Is there any reason I cannot just roll those bars back the two inches or even 2.5" to help square my shoulders up a little?  It will not roll the controls too far?  :confused5: :nixweiss:

The added height is a good thing, and mini apes are out as the hands go above the fairing, no good in rain and cold...   Soooo, you think this could work rolling them back, height and back?

Thank you in advance from a Brother in Australia   :2vrolijk_21:  Cowboy, horses and Harleys...

Cowboy, I have never had any luck rolling the bars back. It does not effect the position of the controls, as they can be adjusted a little. The problem I had was as you roll the bars back they also go down and this counteracts the main goal. I finally went with Wild One WO575 Chubby's and this solved the problem. If you should decide to go this route, make sure the bars you get are for throttle-by-wire. BTW, I have saw several of your posts............NICE F-in Scooter

2ksoftail,

Thank you for your sentiments on my scooter... I have to say, I ride in the rain, the winter, just about anytime, 7.500 kms now in three months, as I am in love...    :-* :2vrolijk_21:

Thank you for that on the roll back..... Shipping of Oz is ridiculous unless I get the bulk rate from HD Australia, so those are the bars or nothing...  What do you think of locking them in a vise as that clamp point would be buried, sliding in a tight fit bar about 7/8", and bending them back up a little?

Would it wreck the chrome?  Or would a little tweak like a few% or something not hurt them?  In the Engineering radius, a 2" roll back is not a lot of angle change, like only a few %, so a straighten up would only be a little tweak as well...  What do you think, anyone ever try this???

Thank you in advance, from Oz, (Australia)

Nevermind,

Back to square one... Not only is it a gamble to see if it could work at all... But HD has just told me that I need all new controls and a sensor in the tube and the rest, not worth it at over $1000 with labour, when it might not even work..   I will stay with the stock set up for now.
