Auxiliary light connections under seat
« on: August 21, 2013, 01:27:07 PM »

Just purchased and have the wiring in place for a set of Denali D2 LED's.  This comes with a on / off switch, already wired in the setup, but I would rather utilize my accessory switch to turn these on and off.  I also need to connect to a switched 12 volt power source.  I would like to make these connections under the seat.  Any help would be appreciated!

Look under your seat in front of the battery. You will find the ACC plug which is activated by the ACC switch, you have power there and the power is switched.

It's a four pin Deutsch connector.  Harley sells a Y adapter harness so you could use the plug and still keep it available for later functions too.  If you don't want to or don't have pieces to put a Deutsch connector on the end of your accessory light's harness you could snip one of the two new plugs on the Y adapters and make your connections with butt connectors.
