Garmin 665 Antenna Location
« on: December 02, 2011, 06:14:54 PM »

Friend of mine just got a 665 and I'm gonna be helping him install. I put my XM(from integrated HK module) antenna just in front of my dash 660 mount on top of the bracket because it fit perfectly there. The 665 antenna is much larger. For anyone who has this, where did you mount yours? If inner fairing, how is reception?
If you have any pics that would be great, Thanks

How did you get the GXM 40 XM antenna to stick to anything? The rubber backing on the antenna prevents it from sticking to the double-stick tape disk provided with the Zumo 665. Nothing wants to stick to that rubber backing on the antenna!
